Okay, I have had a fiddler or two get lost in my car in the past. Also had a cricket or two get loose and annoy me for days. This past week I had a double whammy. Went to Haddrels to get some fiddlers and the guy getting them asked if I had something to put them in. I told him to put them in a bag and Id put them in the bucket in my car. I get to my car and NO bucket. So Ive got to go back to work for the afternoon and figured Id get something from my office to put them in. Left them in the car for what was supposed to be a couple of minutes…but I forgot. 2 1/2 hours later I go to the car and they are all over the front seat, floor, console, they were everywhere. I spent 2 hours tearing the car apart and recaptures 37 of them. Some I just threw on the ground due to their lack of cooperation. So a few days go by and I go freshwater fishing. Stop to get some crickets,100 of them. Guess what, the container(wire Mesh) fell over and the plastic sleave fell out allowing them to disperse. Despite my efforts, there is still a lovely backwoods type chorus going on in my vehicle. I notice they like to sing along with Train songs more than others. Anyway, moral of the story is always get a good container to put your bait in or your car can become both smelly and noisy…and aggravating!

use a leaf blower. thats how i clean my truck out.good in the garage too.

Oh man, Crickets vs. Fiddlers, sounds like an under the seat gang fight. We put 100 crickets in a friend’s car at his reception. He cussed us for quite a while. Good luck getting all those critters out.
Absolutely hilarious. I remember leaving a catfish in a van once in July. The owner wasn’t happy.
Now you need to trap a bird in the car and no more crickets.
Get a pet lizard and leave in the car at night.No mo bugs.

Dont know how many still loose! Started with 3 pints of fiddlers. Faint smell of stinch lingering now. Feel like I bought Seinfeld’s stinky Saab.

ok so I worked at a seafood restaurant whe I was a kid. as a joke we put scallops under a guys seat right on the rear foot well vents. after a full day in the 95deg heat and probly 101 in the car it was killer. oyster on the engine is another wretched foul odor. sorry about the fiddlers man. I know that stuff will stink.

The car smell is actually returning to the normal fishy smell finally. I can live with that! Cant find anymore carcasses so I hope this is over!
