Two Fatalities on Lake Murray

I got checked three times in one day on Murray during a tournament. That was about 8ish years ago though. I think there were a lot more agents then. One thing I will say is that they DNR has always been very friendly. When I first put my trolling motor on my boat I got pulled because he said he couldn’t see my bow lights. He asked if we were going in or if we were still fishing. When I said fishing he jumped on my boat and taped a red and green glow stick on my bow rail. Overall I think they do a good job, but with so many idiots you just can’t stop them all.

Steelytom I agree. The DNR in the state have always treated me well. I’ve only had two uncomfortable moments. One was when a DNR officer was going through my bait tank and didn’t know what a gizzard shad was. Yea, that happened. The other time I was getting checked. I got my wallet out of my bag and when I turned around he was in my boat and we were eye to eye. Kind of weird. Always been treated good though.
