Saturday was the first trip of the year after being out of the offshore business for a few years. I spent a lot of time over the winter on boat with the help of some great folks I found on this site, Scoutin for Goodies, L&S Marine, and Holt On to name a few.
Anyway, we pushed off the dock at 5 to lots of fog like everyone else. A big thanks to Seaside for running the lead and we hit the ocean about 6 headed for an area south of the 226 hole. Had a nice ride out and dropped lines a little after 8. Just after we got a full spread out, the dolphin bite was on and stayed pretty steady. Ended the day with 16 dolphin to 20 lbs and released 4-5. The best part of the day was when all six lines got slammed and there were only 3 of us. TR-1 saved the day and we boxed all 6 of them. Left the dolphin at 12 to troll Edisto Banks for a wahoo with no luck.
Hot lures today for us were blue and white, pink and blue. Fished around 350-450 in 75-76 water.
