Well I am a big fan of posting the good the the bad so here goes.
Leave Columbia Saturday around 12:00 for a nice easy trip to Beaufort with my sons with boat in tow. We had scratched fishing Saturday and planned on Sunday. Around Walterboro I look back in the rear view mirror just in time to see the front right trailer tire peel away from the trailer and roll/flip across the fast lane into the woods. Fortunately there were no cars around when this happened and no damage to the boat or trailer. All the lug nuts were sheered off too.

Get the rig off to the side and then go to look for the tire. Trust me you have not lived until you have pushed a tire down I-95. A good Samaritan in one of those 1 ton Army trucks you would see in an Indiana Jones movie saw me pushing the tire and gave me a lift back to the truck and trailer. I was sol on repair and he said his truck only goes 50mph so he followed me on I-95 until the next exit at a whopping 45 mph. You have not lived until you tow a boat on 3 trailer tires 45 mph down I-95. Made the decision to limp the rest of the way on 3 tires and was fortunate that I had some very heavy duty tires that easily made the rest of the trip. Pucker factor was high though.

After all this in my mind I had bagged the trip for Sunday until my 9 year old said he wanted to go. Got everything packed, gassed up, and re-checked the weather. Sailflow had it picking up in the afternoon so we decided to give it a shot. Greeted by a sloppy ocean and not really any great reports we headed out towards the Deli. Ocean got better as we went along and once to the spot was pretty nice. Just after lines set, slinger dolphin in the boat and I watched a billfish free jump well behind the boat. This could be a great day. That was the only bite (unless you count the planer rod ballyhoo that was cl
