Headed out to a little bit of a confused ocean and just beat some big storms on land. Headed towards 90 feet with a plan to troll and then bottom fish a little bit since this was our only day to red snapper fish.
Stopped short in 65 and got the kids going on some sea bass and from there just decided to work our way out until we could find some good fish.
Finally found some good bottom and started catching some good size sea bass and then a couple of nice reds. Lost our fourth big fish at the boat due to mate error. Good thing it’s my boat and no one can say anything
The bite seemed to slow down around mid day for us so we packed it up around 2. Ended with 3 nice reds, biggest was 27 and an assortment of bsb, porgies, and b-liners and two kids who were dead tired of reeling.
