Do any of you guys snell your hooks to the leader, or do you use uni knots?

I use a palomar. stong and easy to tie

I typically snell all of my hooks. I feel you get a straighter pull on the hook when a fish strikes and it is also a stronger knot and less likely to fail.

X2 on the Palomar or a Perfection loop on plugs or natural swim type baits.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Appreciate the info guys…boat’s in the shop so I’m tying up stuff and waiting. Thought I would try some different setups since the ones I was using didn’t seem to be working too good…lol

Uni-knot snell if an angled eye.
Palomar if straight eye.

I like to snell offset hooks. If the eye is big enough I’ll use a Palomar. If it’s not, I use an improved clinch knot. I can just tie that one faster…
Don’t forget a dropper loop can be tied in a hurry and if the bite is on…it’s a great one.
