That’s great. Let’s pay farmers to grow more corn to make more ethanol to put in our gasoline when it takes more energy to grow the corn and produce the ethanol than we get back out of it.

No one even mentions the fact that ethanol does not burn as efficiently as gas does so you will be burning more fuel with ethanol. You won’t save any money if you get fewer mpg with E fuel.

That’s exactly right, the corn lobby is selling this crap and most of the public believes this “stop being dependent on forign oil crap” all the while they are being taken to the financial wood shed.
I have accepted that most Americans are idiots, and it has made the path this country is on more understandable.
Send them your message. Link is under thread “50% ethanol increase” in this forum

The fuel stabilizer companies are gonna make a fortune.
Does anyone still not use the many outlets in the Lowcountry that have 0% ethanol available?? Use them and they will continue to supply us with it! The Pig at Folly has 0% premium for $2.89 last time I checked–support them!

I got non-E gas at Seeewee Outpost Sunday. Unfortunately, all they sell is premium at $2.95 gal. There are 2 places in Cola, that I know of on Leesburg Road. A Shell that sells Mid-grade and premium w/o E and a Citgo that sells premium only.
Anyone know of any stations in the Bee’s Ferry and Hwy 61 area?

I’m on the wrong side of town to help, but let add some reassurance in finding 100% gasoline if it helps… I’ve been using the additives and also changed out inline filters in my 2003 johnson 140 4stroke. i still kept having issues with the engine bogging down/cutting off after accelerating around 4000 rpms. this would happen about 1/4 to a 1/3 of the times that i would try to run full speed. i used several additives (startron seemed to work best) and I installed a fuel/water separator, but nothing stopped it completely. this past weekend, i remembered that seewee had 100% gas at their premium pumps. i figured i would give it a try… i just back from fishing up in nc all weekend and the motor never had any problem, not even a hiccup! it seemed to accelerate quicker and smoother than “normal”, but did not hesitate/bog down once. this is the first time in over 2 years that i can remember it running this well pre-ethanol. i will always seek out 100% gasoline (ethanol free) moving forward. the extra cent$ per gallon is worth it if this performance continues…
What are y’all talking about. Looks like the gas is “enriched”.
As I see it, the only folks getting “enriched” are the mechanics.
