Ulterra?? Worth it?

I have never owned a bow mounted trolling motor… So I dont know if stowing and deploying gets to be a PITA. My question is this, is worth the extra money for the auto stow and deploy? Is it something to break later on?. Unnecessary features? Battery drainer?

Adding the iPilot last year was the best thing I ever did for my boat. I held out on the iPilot for a long time because I was skeptical about moving parts/electronics on a saltwater rig. Yep, there is more that could go wrong, but for me, the risk of it needing repair is worth it for the function.
The only PITA with my iPilot is getting around the center console and edging past the other fishers in my boat to lower it into the water or explaining to them how to do it and asking for them to put it down/raise it at every stop.
Some of the folks I take don’t have the agility to dance around on the front deck putting the motor down.
So yes, I definitely think it will be worth the added costs. Still a little new/unproven for me, but if had to buy a new TM tomorrow, I think I’d take the risk.

X 2 on JL…moving people out of the way when deploying or stowing is a pain…also I can be fishing so much quicker with the Ulterra…haven’t touched my Ulterra in 6 months except to turn it on at the beginning of the day…now if I could only afford Structure Scan 3D…
