umbrella rigs

what sre the baits of choice for them?i have a mold to make them and was wondering what they sell for and also would any of the stripe fisher men/ women be interested in buying some if i can beat the retail prices.they hold 9 baits 2 on each arm and 1 in the middle.any ■■■■■■■■ is welcome good or bad.

most of the ones I have seen had either bucktails with a twister tail or swimbaits. I bought a four armed one with five, white bucktails with chartruse(sp?)tails. I think it was a two or three ounce wt. It was $17 I think, something like that. I am not a fan of trolling, but I guess that is because I never caught anything. Shakey does not go slow enough.

Edited to add: I have never seen it before, but I wonder if bucktails and icely trailors would make a good Urig

agree with steely. the rigs alone sell for $15 or so. add baits and make em ready to fish i’ve seen anywhere from $20 for the 5 bait set ups to $35-40 for the 9.

i would imagine the bucktail with ice fly would work, that’s what the gul runners claim works. maybe throw a couple spoons in the mix for added show.

most reports i’ve read say white with chartreuse is the best combo, but that’s not necessarily the murray guys sayin it.

if you need a test fisherman… i’ll be glad to give it a whirl for ya. i can keep the gouda (my boat) at a even slow pace

shad bodies work great on them and you can vary the sizes.
