boaters world across from dicks in irmo has them for half price on clearance.they are already riggedthe nine bait ones were 11.99 and the 5 bait ones were 9.99.i don’t thnk they will last long.i figured i would pass it on to everyone.

I bought two of the Urigs. I did not see the stretch 25’s or I would have bought a couple of those too.

hey guys-been out for about a week with 'puter problems. Looks like I’ll be a no show for our get together next weekend. My oldest daughter plays fastpitch and looks like i’m gonna be outa town with her. I can only argue in my head about not going (live with 3 women-well, wifey and 2 girls) and that is an arguement that I will never win! That being said,I HAFTA go to Anderson this weekend as well for ball-GUYS, if the weather holds out for a few more days the fush should be there!

sharky, I have only tried them a couple times when I could not get them to hit bait or the wind was messing me up. Never did catch anything on them. As far as I know you just pull them behind the boat at about 2.5 mph. They come with a chart that tells you how much line to put out to acheive the depth you want. I need to try them when the fish are hitting some time. But with gas prices I would rather not run the gas motor to much.
Urigs are great fishing catching tools. Ask Steve Fralish how he won the '04 NSBA Team of the Year Championship. He’s great with finding schools of larger size fish pulling rigs and then he sets up on them with big bait. When the NSBA changed their rules on u-rigs, he bailed out of the competition…You can cover water faster with urigs. The fish you want to target are the stripers on the bottom in less than 30 ft of water, usually on humps or points. It takes some practice learning how to control the depth of your urig and you can’t be scared to get it hung up on the bottom. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had one u-rig get hung up and the other catch a fish…lol Use zig-zag pattern to change the action/depth of your rig as you troll over particularly fishy areas. Its not unusual to catch 2, 3, 4, fish at a time trolling 2 urigs. If I’m by myself, I’ll troll 2 rigs. In tournaments with crew, I may troll 4. I’ll pick a large Gizzard Shad or Trout to target trophy fish but the u-rigs can help you figure out where the better quality schools of fish are located. Thats not to say a big fish won’t hit the u-rig. I finished 3rd in the NSBA 2003 Big Fish of the Year competition with a 29 lb fish caught on a u-rig.
