I’ve used them some fishing at Montauk growing up, but haven’t yet used them on the lake. Haven’t been on the lake since mid Sep, but I have a friend with company in town looking to do some striper fishing. We’re gonna bait fish, but I may wind up doing some trolling if I have as hard time finding fish as I normally do this time of year. I figured I’d throw a couple into the arsenal just in case.

I’ve caught fish trolling single bucktails as well as swim baits and I’m trying to decide what to go with on an umbrella. Anyone found one to work better than the other?

myself and pops swear on umbrellas. Dad pulls 2 u-rigs and 2 stretches all times during the year. He rarely live bait fishes.
