Unbelievable will to live

Caught it on a swimmin TT on a TE jighead. The little guy (about 11") fought hard and swam away like a champ. The wound was completely healed but given its location, I though that would’ve been fatal. Looks like flipper may have gotten ahold of him. You guys ever seen anything like that?

In the future, where every stranger poses a potential threat, knowing the predator mindset is the only safe haven.

I’ve caught a few fish missing their tails but never something like that.

You need to send that pic> to Wood Hole Marine Lab!

unfortunately i do believe a gig is to blame not a dolphin… i have ran into that before.

But you have to remember, that fish don’t feel pain! That fish could have had a bit taken out of it when it was real small and never knew it! The bite obviously didn’t take anything vital and it healed and the fish grew around the wound!
