Went to Edisto lastnight and was 1 of only 2 boats out there just before dark. Met a couple of nice guys from Greenwood, enjoyed chatting with them. Just before dark we had 10 boats set up on top of us, 2 boats set up right buy me. 1 was between me and the bank and the other right behind me in a little deeper water. Those a**holes sandwiched me in. There prop wash was horrible and made it difficult for my son to operate the boat. Ya know theres a lot of places at Edisto to shrimp you dont have to get right on top of some one else. It is UNBELIEVABLE how some people are. We did manage to catch 3/4 cooler of medium to large. We had to work hard for them thanks to those guys running over my bait.
I can believe it. I have been out at 4ki already and have had people probably 50’ from me. There are over 10 separate wrecks out there and people have to anchor right on you.

LOL I’ve seen this happen at Remleys. Saw a guy in a boat with a big outboard hose a dude minding his own business tossing a cast net on the pier. Not sure why he had the motor trimmed all the way up like he did, but he really washed him up good, and then proceeded to apologize to the guy as if he’d just run over the man’s dog or something.
Na! Let them know that you arn’t to good at shrimping or boating and that’s why you got way off by yourself, so that you don’t mess up anyone else, while you practice! If they still insist on crowding you run over their poles and cast to their bait. They’ll move! Oh, make sure you apologize and say, see that’s why I’m out here by myself!Just play dumb as Gommer Pyle. Say, what do you mean that’s not my pole. I thought it was, man they all look the same, I’m sorry!
