Under Contract 5/16 (pics added)

I fished today with Zach (Under Contract), MIke, and Ryan (offshore virgin). We left Shem creek at 5 and pulled up to the fishin waters around 8. Needless to say it was a bumpy ride, but man it was worth it. Turned out to be a gorgeous day. We put lines in at 180’ and I was putting some sunscreen on my shoulders when the rod right next to me went off so i grabbed it with sunscreen all over my hands, it made for a slippery fight. It was game on for the first few hours. We got into them thick early but the bite slowed down and it was just kinda pickin the rest of the day. Hot lure of the day was the electric green centipede lure that Mike brought that he made from some toy of his kids man the dolphin we all over it, one fish jumped out of the water and came down right on it, wow it was a cool site. Brought 17 fish to the side of the boat and brought 16 in the boat, we lost one due to a botched gaff shot by yours truly. We made it back to Shem creek in a much more timely fashion 2 hours flat, we made 30-34 mph the whole way home, except for our lovely jetties where it was a washin machine. Thanks to Zack for the invite and the awesome trip! Im goin to SLEEP!!! long day

“Women should be obscene and not heard.”

Great job zach . Looks like you all did great . More guts then we had yesterday we opted to stay in guess you all made good call . What was the water depth there in now . we been going to 400 plus latly.

no ibelive mike was checking one of the lines, we fished between 120 and 300 all day. it seemed the warmer water was slightly north of where we were in the beggining. we picked and ran north for a little bit and saw 82 degrees. and we had seen only 79 all day. also seemed that the fish we more concentrated near 150 than 250. Still a great day on the ocean. My arms are feeling it today from a fish that hit the WTFB. It took me a minute to get the rod out of the t-top, he was way out there.
