Zach and I had the ocean to ourselves on Monday. We ran out at 48mph, on a smooth as glass ocean. No bait, no Bonitas, only a few birds. The fish were spooky, and I made up every excuse I could think of as to why we were marking great bottom, but not catching $^&*! After scouting a dozen spots, we finally hit a drop where the fish cooperated. First drop was a double on plate triggers a few more fell victim before we boated a chicken and a scamp. I lost a big Gag to the rocks, and zach got to watch me come unglued! He got a real nice rock hind, and we had a 7’ Tiger shark eat grouper baits twice (he had two broken lines in his mouth). We ran back in and caught a few jumbo BSB’s, and headed to the hill. I was most impressed with the speed and handling of that 19’ Pioneer. That was my first trip on one, and it handles like a much larger boat…It did take me two tries to put it on the trailer though! Thanks again Zach,
