Followed CrisV winterization tip for my 90hp 4banger Yami last season…
Put in fresh fuel today , pumped it up , hit sw., boom up and running
like new , smoked a little for few minutes , ran all day no trouble.
Thanks CrisV for the tips and a very uneventful , trouble free
spring start up !!

Now if the fish would just bite, didn’t get a single bite all day !

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
really not hard at all
mix up some seafoam and a little 2 stroke oil in a tank, crank up the engine and let it run until it starts to smoke then shut it down

Reel Wicked;
What chris said !!!^^^^^^^^
I mixed up about about 3oz s-foam , 3oz 2cycle oil in gal of non-e
gas , disconnected main fuel tank and supplied motor with mixture
until it started smoking then shut it off… The other day with fresh non-e fuel , I pumped it up and hit sw. bam ready to go , smoked for just a few minutes.
The only thing I did that Chris didn’t say to do was I added
the remaining mix to help top off main fuel tank so that it would be
full and not condense water into a partially filled tank while down
for winter. Drained this fuel and will use it in truck and mowers
around home. Worked well for me ; I have had a few bad </font id=“red”> start up years in the past…

Would I have to change the plugs and filters afterwards on a Yamaha 4stroke? Or go to go?

I was thinking that would need to be done afterwards. Thanks for the tip!

Didn’t elaborate on that but I did change fuel filter before reconnecting main tank fuel line , but plugs only had couple hours on them at end of last season as I was already prepping for last trip
when Chris suggested method for winter…
