Hit Remely Point this moring about 6:45…Got there and I don’t know what the heck was going on but a bunch of Morons had on of the boat ramps blocked off with a Uhaul Truck and a group of people with these huse inflatable blow up balls (some sort of markers)…Each one of them had their own boat which were tied off all over the docks while they blew up the blow up balls and straped them down in their boats…Not one space open on the dock for me to tie off to so I could go park my truck:face_with_head_bandage:…There was a line of early morning anglers pretty Pizzed off because they couldn’t launch there boats because of all these Jacks in the way!!!..Finally a boat moved off the dock so I could tie off and park my truck:smiley:…
Anyway, headed up the Wando and into Nowell/Beresford…The tide was high and had been going out for only maybe 30 minutes or so by the time I got in there…First thing I hit one end of the barge and started throwing Mud Minnows under a popping cork…First Minnow and first Cast…WHAM…Redfish on Baby:smiley:…Good Start to an even better day…Stayed in the spot for the entire outgoing tide and managed to get 8 redfish in the boat…all fish caught on mudders under a cork…Water temp was around 78 degrees and water was stainded…All fish were within slot (all about 19-21 inches) and All Fish faught really HARD…These little guys felt or faught like they were over slot fish!!!..Very aggressive!!! Forcast called for SSE winds in the moring around 5-10kts…NOT…more like 15-20 and at some times felt like 25kt gust!!!..All in all was a good day!!.Here are a few pics!!
by the way, I had one BIG red break me off around some oysters today and lost a lot of mud minnows to a Mess of baby blue fish today also!!!..kept one or two of the blues for cut bait!!

Great job Bugs! I know what you mean by them fighting hard. The one I got yesterday I was pretty sure was a ray. Felt like it was hugging the bottom and ran me around the boat twice. took forever just to see that it was a red! still amazed how i didn’t get tangled on the anchor line… weird.
Bugs you should know how wicked Remelys is on the weekend, and a Holiday at that.YOWEZZER.Glad you caught some nice ones. Those Big Reds are smart enough to take you to those oyster rakes every time ,Come on now I know you can out smart them the next time.
NICE! Man what kinda trolling motor is that you have there? That is a crazy looking controler. Does that control all your electronics and the weather as well?

lol…Dixiedeerslaya…you know…sometimes I do take two pics of the same fish if I don’t think I got a good shot on the first one… and when I get home I upload them to photobucket and then I just pick 4 or 5 pics to upload to my post…I may have put pics of the same fish up not noticing it…I’ll try to be more careful next time when selecting my photos to upload to post…

Great job again, Bugs! Its cool to see how good an angler you’ve become in the past year. Proves time on the water, research, dedication and patience pay off. Now if we can only get you out of SSWA so the rest of us can win something! LOL! Keep it up, Mr. F!

bugs I just looked that thing up online. What a bad ass device. I gotta see one of these things. That would be something to deep water anchor at capers go drink some brew and swim back to the boat. Ha they would be a bit confused im sure.

Thank you very much Vince…I appreciate that…but, I’m not going away from SSWA!!..LOL
Fatrat…It is a hotspot but, a very common one…LOTS of folks know about it!!
and Nameofadam…that would be hillarious to see the look on people’s faces when you just jump off your boat to swim ashore and have no Anchor line out!!!..
