i know this is in the wrong place but jim i know you wanted to know how i did. caught 10 crappie, lost 6 more a foot or two from the boat. fished the rock wall above 391. only seen one person up there striper fishing, he was using planer boards, don’t know how he did. i did have big shad out on free lines and had one knock down on it. but no fish. if you didn’t go saturday you missed a beautiful day. will be fishing lower lake this week if weather is right. will report back. tight lines to all…

good job on the specks, Chip. went for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. nothing around the swimming area. several shorts between John’s creek and bomb. several more shorts around macidonia. i think if i would have spent more time on the fish around bomb i would have boated a few keepers - some nice marks. I’ll give ya a shout soon - gotta work on the honey-do list.
old school …corks and minnows about 15ft deep on the edge of the channel. went for some stripes this morning and same report as flatlander…shorts shorts and more shorts. did get one that went 20 1/2. the last hour i was there probably caught 40 around bomb island, all on drs and bucktails not a single hit on freeline. looking to head out thursday or friday also. tight lines.
Good deal on the crappie. I’m giving up on the stripers right now and am going to concentrate on the crappie. Right now–the naked minnows seem to be the best.
