I may not be the smartest guy around but why can’t I seem to be able to upload pics?? I have read the forum code but it doesn’t work, what am I doing wrong?
Create a photobucket account and add the pictures there. You have 4 options from photobucket to copy and paste. Pick the last one with IMG at the begining.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
whats a photobucket and where do I create it? on this site? or my harddrive?

I’m embarrassed to say that I have not posted one pic yet. It’s because I own a Kodak camera and I am trapped in their EasyShare software. Now I have some free time, I’m going to figure out how to get my pics out of Kodak captivity and up on PhotoBucket. I am a member there already.
If anybody else has had to escape Kodak, too, maybe you can give me some tips. It’s probably not that hard, I haven’t had the time, mainly.
lotsa pics coming soon.

thanks, Pox,
it helped, but I gotta get free of Kodak - - I don’t recommend buying their cameras because they trap you in their EasyShare system.

Just about all the windows based computers have plug and play , in other words you should have a usb cord that came with your camera . (If you don’t go buy one, they fit many devices) You don’t have to have the Easyshare software downloaded to get pictures to your computer .
I have 3 computers of which 1 has the software which came with my Canon downloaded , the other 2 lets me pick which photo editing program I want to download to my computer without the software .
If you have the software which came with your camera , try deleting it or set the default photo viewer to something else .Irfanview will open your photos and it has a music player along with a video player . It’s a good starting place because it reads many types of files AND FREE ! It’s pretty simple to use --darken , lighten , crop , reduce the file size , etc.

Gimp is something close to photoshop and it’s free too when you want to do more .
Either one can be set as your default picture viewer .You can go to Start and click on control panel then click default programs , then set default programs . You probably have a picture viewer already there without downloading any but I really don’t know what system you are running . Hope this helps , if you need more email me > good luck > we want to see pictures .
- Create Photobucket account at http://photobucket.com/
- Upload images
- Click on the IMG file of the desired picture (next to IMG Code) to copy file.
- Paste into your post that you are typing for the forums (hold “Ctrl” and press “V”)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me “sir” without adding, “you’re making a scene.”

Thanks again for help - - when I get back in town after New Year’s, I will try again.

Went through the EasyShare thing with my Daughter… I don’t like it. I uninstalled it and told her to just use the Scanner and Camera Wizard Tool. You don’t need it even though Kodak implies that you do. When you plug in your camera or memory card your computer should auto recognize the devise, depending on how you are set up you may need to select what program to use. just make sure the “always use this program” box is unchecked.
I’m like you I need to figure out how to post some pics. Got some great pics this weekend of a 10 pt and two nice 8 pt that have yet to show up in the day time. Also a group of 10 raccoons on the corn pile with one cool shot of one hugging the camera, couple of foxes, possums, turkeys, crows, and a ca-zillion squirrels. Pretty neat to see all the wildlife your corn pile is feeding. Oh what this is a fishing discussion… Not deleting now, I’ll just take being told so.
