Hit the water solo today in hopes of finding some vampire fish. The fish gods granted me permission to remove some from their saltwater realm. 15 fish had a meet and greet session with Spittailbasics and at least that many came up to kiss the bait of choice as well but got off early due to soft lips!!! No bugs, no sweat, no problem when getting fish to take the bait. After high tide and the water began to move the fish turned on.

Artie’s with a green paddle tail, if it wasn’t half way up in the water column you weren’t getting bit. Bottom bouncing produced zero fish, period! 6’-8’ depth seemed what they preferred during high water and also live bottom also seemed to be another valuable key.
