Took the wife out, on our anniversary, for a quick trip away from the kids. Caught a few small trout around Goat Island, on minnows and live shrimp under corks, before the crowds came out. Encouraged by the amount of bait in the water; thought maybe the warm water temps shut the upper river down. This is our first summer in the area, learning more everyday.
Happy anniversary, there was a report here earlier this week saying “there are no fish in the Wando”, I don’t have a clue, just information for you.

I thought Goat Island was on the intracoastal, not the upper wando…

That is now Park Island in Park West. I think it was called Goat Island but changed to Park Island by the developer of Park West in the 90’s.
