Looking to take a long weekend to go fish for trout in the Upstate. I’ve always gone into Western NC but I have read a lot of positive stuff about upstate SC. Looking at Jones Gap state park, fishing the Saludas. Does anyone have any advice? I will be wading. Thanks in advance.

Chauga River, SC
Great article, I’d love to get on the Chauga as well. We’ve decided to head up to Asheville where I’ll have two days on the Davidson River. Starting to feel a little pessimistic about the bite with temps dropping back down but the days will at the very least be sunny.
