Used 2017 Yamaha 70 - pricing

I have a 2017 Yamaha 70 on my Hells Bay with about 380 hrs. Want to sell but have no idea how to price.

$3000 for engine only (no controls, gauges, prop ) to much ?

I have a buddy looking for one. Send me your contact info if you want to connect with him

Call your county tax office. They have books showing the value of boats and motors. AND they don’t charge for the information!

I’ll give you 3K for that motor if it checks out.

What would you need to see before purchase?

First of all
Welcome to our community.haha
Why are you selling?
What is the nearest boat landing to you?
I would need to go on a sea trial with my mechanic before purchasing.
My bil is saying 2500 bucks maximum.
If you are just wanting to go faster
I have a 2002 70 Yamaha tiller handle for sale
It’s been worked on but it’ll out run most 90s
I was wondering how much it might be worth?

If it is still hanging on the boat I’ll need a 5-10 minute boat ride and maybe 5 or 10 minutes before and/or after the ride.

If its not hanging on the boat I’ll need a little longer to do some “stuff”, but not much, just a compression check mainly.

Much like a woman, I can tell all I need to know in about 2 beers.

I’ll send you my phone number via PM, just contact me and we can set up a time. I am in no big hurry, but I could be there tomorrow or Wednesday if you are in a hurry.

Thanks

EF

@sman

I thought ol’ faithful was on its last leg, I let a couple of noobs convience me that my water jackets were completely clogged up because I couldn’t get any water up to the thermostat.

I had pulled the foot and checked the impeller, and it looked nearly new, so I almost believed them.

So I got a bilge pump and ran CLR up thru the pickup tube and out thru the thermostat housing for about 12 hours and nothing much came out, not big clogs or anything, just a little milky looking.

So I went back in the foot, and guess what I found? Damned failed keyway, ate the inside of the impeller up and wouldn’t pee any harder than Hunters daddy, lol.

so anyway, I cant get the video to post here without using an outside host, so I just sent you a video of yesterdays work.

heres whats left of the key way and old impeller, always dig all the way down I guess.

anyway, I’ve been thinking of a 4 stroke for a while now. I do love a yamaha
