Not sure if this is your question , but as I understand
if you hold a Utah ccp it is recognized/accepted buy (most) of states
that have ccp of their own. Also most of the cc course providers
also offer the Utah course, you just send the results to Utah along with required costs, not 100% sure of all this but it’s the way it was told to me!!!:sunglasses:

Not sure about Charleston but you can get one here in Columbia.

I was hoping someone here knew who did the courses and the costs. I was quoted $110 today. That just seemed really high to me.

It is $100 in Columbia. More involved than the SC CWP plus they can charge more because it is more desirable.

Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Class

Add more states to your SC Concealed Weapons Permit! With the Utah CFP permit, you add additional states, to include Georgia. Our previous South Carolina CWP Students are offered a $25 discount for returning to us for the Utah permit. This is an excellent option to expand your carry rights.

This course is designed to introduce individuals to the general familiarity with the types of firearms to be concealed. This course will provide you with the laws for Utah, basic handgun safety training and general familiarity, as well as state and federal codes and administrative policies. It will provide you with the required training to apply for a Utah CFP. APPLICATION PAPERWORK AND FINGERPRINTS ARE INCLUDED. At the course, Students will learn:

Basic Handgun Safety and Safe Handling

General Familiarization in nomenclature, ammunition, and fundamentals of shooting

Utah Criminal and Traffic Codes

Federal Firearms Regulations

Administrative Rules and Policy
