I check this site out from time to time since I’m originally from SC. I live in Utah now and can give you some info if you are still looking. I can tell you the closest rivers to fish are the Weber and Provo but you won’t be alone 
Try Trout Bum. They are located at the base of the Canyons resort. There is plenty of good water in the area as well as within a few hour drive. I can recommend a few friends who guide for Trout Bum and other outfits. Send me a PM
