vacation house to rent with dock

we are taking our annual trip down the river from Lake Moultrie. Usually we keep the boats at one of the marinas and stay at a close hotel. but this year we are thinking about trying to find a rental house with a dock. Ive tried searching for some on VRBO and Air BNB but without a feature option of “Dock” to choose, its rather painful to search for.

So does anyone here have a rental house or know of a rental house in the charleston area that has a dock?

we are planning on June 2nd to June 4th. we can stay longer if that will help us find a good place. We are very well mannered family that does not party and we are usually in bed by 9 or 10, maybe a little later on vacation. no one smokes and we arent bringing the pets.

Not a lot on Moultrie - more on Marion

sorry i wasnt clear in my OP. we are starting in lake moultrie and taking the boats down the river to charleston. so we are looking for a place to rent in charleston.

Call Island Realty on the IOP and they should be able to give you some information, not sure about a weekend only rental though, another option is to look for a house on Goat Island but you have zero amenities available if you stay over there. There are a few houses on the IOP that I see from the water with rental signs on the docks so I know they are out there.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

You guys going down there with John and Jessi?

skinneej, will rent you his place:smiley:

My family rented one in mclellanville one time that was really nice. Address was 635 thomas pinckney court if i remember correctly. They had a boat lift that we put a mako 19 on

There used to be quite a few in the area on VRBO. Use the filters at the top of the page for waterfront. You may have to look through a few but you’ll find some.

we found a decent house with a nice dock on IOP. one of the guys wants to bring his new tahoe tritoon with a 150 4stroke on it. do yall think it will be ok running through the harbour from the cooper to get to the ICW?

Ya, have seen quite a few way off shore around the riggs off Ala. Could not belve how great they ran in the swells!

Gotcha. I have a few friends that do a group trip down like that about the same time of year. Was just curious if we had a few mutual friends.

As long as the wind and tide are not working against each other that run should be ok, if the conditions are WAC then buckle up.

nope. yall roll in a higher class than i do

but if they are going down the same time, we can get in touch. its always nice having buddy boats on trips like that. i run with full tools so i can assist if things take a turn for the worse.

There’s a few that rent out in mcclellanville now…problem is there’s no fish and all the creeks go completely dry most times

miss’n fish’n

Have rented many homes over the years in McClellanville thru VRBO during shrimp season. Great location and good docks some for 5-6 boats.
