Venice, La. Oct redfish/blackfin (big jpg files)

Fished Venice with Bear and Travis. One word. Epic! Caught 130 reds, smallest 14# and largest 32#, over the course of 2 days. All on artificial and otf.

Personal best otf, 28#

A big school of bull reds and jacks had a school of bait worked up into a ball like you see offshore, except we were in 10ft. Pretty (**() cool.

Bear and Travis both have new islamorada boat works 24. Wow, best inshore boat I have ever been on. Big and spacious but will still jump on plane in less than 2’ and has a 350 on the back! Top end is mid 80’s and gets 4.1 gallons per hour at 40mph.

Top waters spoons and popping corks. The smallest was 17 pounds of the largest was 42 pounds. Stupid fishing. Ruinous.

This was the big one (42lb). Didn’t m
Ran to hi jack your report but since it was Travis
and Bear and we just returned I got exited. And Bourbon St., Saturday night for the LSU versus Florida game was not bad either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Man, thats a life bucketlist/memorymaker trip right there! Congrats!

No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
