I’ve got a trip to Venice, LA in the works! Based on what I’ve seen and read, I’m pretty-much sold on fishing with Scott Sullivan and/or Rimmer Covington of the MGFC. We’re planning on going sometime in May, and I was hoping to hear about your experiences. Have any of y’all fished down there during the month of May? If so, how’d you do? Thanks in advance, and I look forward to your stories and ■■■■■■■■.

Done many trips down there. Brought my own boat and hired captains. Not much to share. Fishing is awesome, the accommodations in the area are very “fish camp” like, the fog can be thick, the run offshore is long, but it will be one of the best fishing trips you every have! The boats have everything you need.
Bring a big cooler, lots of zip lock’s and cash!
Take more than one cooler unless its a 320 qt. Here is video I made from a trip last year. I know we filled several large coolers.

Going next week, fishing with Capt. Sullivan and Capt. Kevin Beach. Two 6 man charters going. This is a pic from our last trip, limits 2 days in a row, all on top water the second day! No guarantee but the best crew in the Gulf. Frist class operation.
Can’t wait to go!

What bug catcher said! Beach runs a 33 Freeman with twin f350s, Sullivan has a 39 sea vee trip f350s. Rates are $1300ish plus fuel.

Sullivan or Beach its a tossup really.
Just pick the style boat you like more.
Cat with twins or cc v hull with trips.
Both will put you on fish.
