Verado certified mechanic

I am looking at a boat that has a pair of 2007 250hp Verados. Does anyone know a good local Verado certified mechanic?

Please send me a PM with info.

Thanks!

to get a certified Merc Tech, you are going to have to go to a dealer. Longshore, Marine Max, Duncans are your local Mercury Dealers

Great, thank you!

Whitton marine is a mercury dealer I think.

Keep in mind, just because someone is certified doesn’t mean they are necessarily better than some one who isn’t. Odds are, if someone is certified, they are at least up to date on current products and have had some factory schooling. Without any background knowledge of the tech, you’re probably better of with a certified tech, but knowing the individuals reputation will give you a better idea.

Longshore does all my service. Great Shop!!!

I have a Mercury 4-stroke 115 on my flats boat. I handle all my own basic service, fluid changes, zinc, grease that is, boat was due for a new water pump and this was just beyond what I wanted to jump into on a relatively new motor. I had purchased all the supplies from Duncan for the service and while in there I inquired about the pump. They gave me an estimate and told me when I was ready to call and they would schedule an apt for me to bring it in and it would be ready the next day. A week later I called and we set it up for the following week. I dropped the boat off on a Wednesday mid day and they called me Thursday mid day to say it was ready. Wow a service shop that did what they said they would do, now thats hard to find! Everyone was very pleasant, the check in procedure was very professional and the total cost was less than the estimated amount. Another member here just had a similar experience and he may chime in. His boat had set at another shop for months, he called ahead, set his apt and picked his boat up from the other shop, he was in and out with a fixed motor in a couple days.
