Chris and all reading-
My Verado oil has creeped up to the top of the dipstick marking after about 5 months since having the oil changed (Originally at the 25% mark). I sucked some of the oil out of the crankcase, lowering the oil level below the bottom hashmark and added some new oil to bring it back to the original 25% level. Is this practice ok or has the fuel diluted the oil so that it is not adequate protection anymore?
Just wondering…do you Yami and Rude owners experience the “making oil” issue or is this more specific to a supercharged engine?
My new rude a 2011 250 E tec is 2 stroke but it sure doesnt us as much oil as all the black motors I have run and blowen over the years. I guess time will tell. Glad I got 5 yr. war. dont use much fuel either.I am amazed at how quiet it is. I can talk on a cell phone at 4500rpm I do have a 9.9 4s yamaha I use in restrictive lakes it never seem to use or make excess oil sounds to me you might have ring leakage and adding gas to your oil! I have had this on my inboards!Good luck
it should not be making oil. at all.
you have fuel leaking in somewhere

I’m seeing huge dollar signs…Does this mean that the block would be taken apart and the rings replaced?
If this were the case, what would be a ballpark figure for a Verado (incl. labor)?
I have Tohatsu 30 / 4 stroke and the guy who works on it for me said that if I don’t disconnect the fuel from it when it sits up for a while, it will pull gas into the crank case. The oil level went up in mine almost to the top of the stick when I first noticed it and asked him. It will also smell of gasoline.
My friend had the same problem with his verados. He said it was a simple fix and referenced " pencil coil ". If you need more information, shoot me a PM with your contact information and I will put you two in touch with each other.
Both My Yamaha F-150’s were doing it over the Winter. Read on this site to change the thermostats… and i’ll be (**()ed it worked. I doubt this is your problem since it is hot out, but you never know.

“Rum Runner”
most likely, a carbon treatment and a good hard run will fix the issue
