Setting up a VHF handheld. I have ch 16,9,01 and 22A set, but what are good local working channels to put in? I’ll put them in a scan file.

Chan 13 is good for communicating with commercial traffic, ships, tugs, bridges, dredges and such. Handy in a busy harbor sometimes.

In florida the guys that run out of the different inlets all use different channels. You can basically dial up whats going on to the north and south. Would be kinda nice to have different channels for guys fishing to the north, south, straight out, etc. As far as I know 68 is pretty much the only channel the fishing guys use around here.
