VHF CHANNEL'S

Could anyone please tell me what channels are used on lake murray by the people fishing. I fish at night and would like to be in contact with some of the people to see if they were having any luck.

102.3 FM, classic Rock. E-mail me and I’ll give you my cell phone #. If the the fish arent biting, you can come to my house and watch fishing shows on TV. Sorry bout the VHF channels, dont know.

I had my vhf scanning on my last two trips to murray and didn’t hear any chatter. When I wanted to know how someelse was doing, my son would holler, “Any Luck?” No FM on my boat, maybe I should get one. Does it help the fish bite???

Dude Tuna, How’d you guess ? thats my secret !! Although it wasnt FM. I was beating on the bottom of the boat with a boat paddle, in rhythm to the Atlanta Braves war song (also FSU). Here’s the thing, Bum, Bum, Bum, bum…bum, bum, bum, bum…then you gotta sing Whoaa, Whoaa, Whoaaaaaaa, then put it together and get ready, FISH-ON… Get the net… Boy what a nice one. Oh- yeah, I can see yall thinking I’m crazy. It’s true, this really happened. Ya gotta have fun.

sparky, there just doesn’t seem to be as much radio traffic now that everyone has a cell phone. i miss the entertainment and watchin boats buzz all over the lake following radio reports. Anyway, the channels on murray work somethin like this: the guides tend to use 71 and sometimes 10, Midlands Striper Club uses 72, most others use 68 or 69.
the blowboaters tend to hail on 16 and go to 68. i believe all of the marinas monitor 16 during business hours.

Thanks for the info and the laughs
