I have switched to a Twisted leader system for popping/casting. It is a doubled section of about 4-5’ then a 2’ section of “bite leader”. The doubled section is mono, the bite portion is usually flouro. Uni/Uni to connect the leaders. Loop to Loop to connect the mainline to Twisty.
