Very proud of my little guy shooting his first buck last weekend. After 3 hours of tracking we found his 6 point buck. The deer comes back to life, jumps up and runs when he goes to grab the horns for a picture. Had to chase him down for the finish. Big mistake on my part. I should have known better being that his eyes were closed. That is a hunt he will never forget!

I enjoyed that video…I laughed so hard it hurt…glad it went well tho…could have been disaster.
It’s a 300 blackout i built. PSA lower with magpul ctr stock. 16" Wilson combat barrel, YHM Lite rail. It has a NV compatible Eotech exps 3-2 on top because it doubles as my hog gun but the scope still works great for short range deer.
It really is a perfect deer gun for kids. Not much recoil, plenty of knockdown with 125 grain supersonics. 5 position stock allows it to adjust to fit anyone. The suppressor helps save young ears so he doesn’t end up near deaf like me.
If you already have a AR-15 all you need to buy is a 300 blackout upper. The 300 BLK uses all the same parts as a 223 AR except the barrel. Same receivers, bolt, etc. You can even use the same magazines since it is a 223 case necked up to .30 cal. Palmetto state Armory has some good deals right now on them.
