A video of trout sitting there? What was the point? They never ate anything. WTF?
Thats just it… they are so fast you missed it… I got so sick of those darn bows and their finicky ways… Glad to be home where there are REAL fish to catch…
No, not on a fly but I did try
“Three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.” ~Chuck Clark
sorry about that next time I think to post I’ll run it by you!

Yeah I did catch one of these if you look at the post from the day before I posted the pictures of the rainbows and the brookie I caught. I thought that it was cool that the water was so low that you could see these fish as easily as I could.
Well done good pics. With the water being so clear/low a suggestion for those looking to hook up with fish in those conditions drop your tippit size and go with a dry dropper. That is a bigger dry fly (hopper/stimmi/humpty) on top with an emerger pattern tied 6"-12" below. Nice work on the fish
absolutely- i started using yellow pol. lenses and can see so much more. the lighter the tint, the more I can see underwater. I have never turned back- they work great on the flats here, but are perfect in the mtns.
Hoppers have been fishing really well, but nothing touches beed headed golden retrievers or pink retrievers.
Nice!! I love catching big trout. They did not seem spooky but that water was gin clear. Where is Beaver Creek?
