My son and I decided to come down for a little Christmas Eve fishing. We had hoped to find some bait in the creeks but came up empty. As neither of us is proficient with artificials, we will be buying our bait until Spring. Fortunately for us, we ran into some of Santa’s helpers in the form of the Vinman, the lovely Mrs. Vinman and the Vinettes up on the Wando. They were all tuckered out from their earlier slaying of the reds so they very kindly gave us their remaining bait. I must say, if you have not used some of Vinman’s Magic Mud Minnows, you should. We did not have a lot of time left to fish but we used the time and the free MM to our advantage (mostly). We ended up catching 4 reds ranging from 20 - 24" and we lost 3 ( I swear a red spit one out at me) all in the span of about 30 minutes. Anyway, it was another beautiful low country day and Vinman helped make it better with his MMs and some advice. Thanks Vin and family!!
My son. He was actually very happy but I think at 15 he thinks he is too cool to smile.
