Vintage Fly Reels

I was recently given (free)two, what I believe to be vintage fly reels:

  1. FJORD Seaway AFR that has some rust and the spring is apparently broken.
  2. Shakespear No. 1827 Tru-arT automatic. It seems to work but the casing is slightly dented which is preventing the reel from spinning.

I am looking for someone who repairs/restores vintage fly reels and or someone who can tell me a little about them i.e. would it be worth the time and money to repair/restore them etc… My efforts to research them on line has yielded little information.
Anyone with information, please feel free to repond to this message and or call me (Martin) at 843 476-1112.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>I doubt it. Looks like you could pick up either one on eBay for $9.99.

Doesn’t mean they aren’t cool. I have some reels that I ‘kind of’ collect. But, it’s just for fun.
