Vintage Outboard Motor

A friend of mine from NJ found this motor in an abandoned Hurricaine Sandy home. It has no name or model numbers. Does anyone have a idea of who the manufacturer was - we think it is from the early 1900,s. Any help or leads would be appreciated.

TOM GITTO

Wow Tom, that is neat. Wonder how you make the rudder turn? Can’t be that suicide knob on top? I didn’t see a place for a pull rope to start it. Can’t imagine the suicide knob is the crank starter! That could really be a work out, unless it tightens a big azz spring inside that is released to spin it over! Really neat. Thanks for posting that! Wish I could help.

Looks EXACTLY like the motor Billy “Rig” DuRant was tryin’ to sell to those other folks from north of the Mason Dixon line Tom!

How much for the anchor in the background?
