Virgina Ave Landing

Loaded off at Virgina Ave landing the other night… on my way out on low tide, i forgot which side to avoid and the only way to find out was to see if the motor will hit the bottom…[:0] and it did. i wonder if the city will dumb some money on that landing in the future. anybody have any ideas?

The rocks and the drop off and the no water and the crack heads and the low bridge are all just part of the charm of that boat landing.

Keeps the northerners away!

condom hop.

I thinks it needs to saty the way it is to weed out the “shirts”

Agreed!

actually, they have cleaned out the area around the ramp, it is much better than it use to be. The NCPD has also stepped up patrolling the park, and run off most of the undesirables. Unfortunately, we can’t do anything about the bridge, but I like it, it limits the number and size of boats that can put in there. I never have to wait in line!

What happened to the ladder on the dock? It is a nightmare picking up the trailer man in a fiberglass boat now. I made him wade on the ramp which scared the crap out of me b/c of what he might step on.

Slack you speak from experience? Location? price? Services?

It has got better have not heard of anyone getting there truck broke into in a while.

i’ve been told that landing is getto and crappy so i usually grab a friend or two but so far i’ve use the landing 3 times and never encounter anybody there… only see one truck with trailer so far. i agree with sells that the fact that i don’t have to make the long drive to ramleys and fight the boat traffic. it could be a great landing.

I go there when I want to feel like I am out in the country. I step out of the truck and breath in a deep breath of paper mill and Hess gas. Mmmmmmmm.

found 5 of these little tikes on the ramp there the other day, one was still in womb in gutpile looked to be 2 hogs cleaned

tell the kiddies cover their eyes

Wow, that’s classless. We always bury that stuff, and never kill a pregnant hog.

Start a thread about boat ramp etiquette and you will find that MANY people on this web site think that leaving dead fish and pigs (and whatever) on a ramp is perfectly fine. Amazing!

pure ignorance, why the F didnt they eat the little ones…? pure ignorance

don’t kill pregnant sows? pffft wtf kill em all they ain’t helpin the land or land owners.

I like the landing…rough and rugged and out of the way…

put the money into dredging the bushy park landing’s saltwater side.

if some of the Radical Christian Bullies of this site would only follow your lead everything will be kosher around here.

We need to ask the North charleston parks dept if they would put a streetlight next to the ramp. It would sure make it easier to trailer after gigging.

I don't like to exaggerate when I post comments on this site. So, I wasn't sure if writing "and whatever" was a bit of an exaggeration. I told my best fishing buddy about the pigs at the boat ramp. And he said, "no, you are wrong, it was a deer carcass."

I said I saw a picture of a dead pig, this week. He said, “Oh… this week. I thought you meant last week”.

Seems that last week someone had gutted a doe on the boat ramp and left the carcass laying there on the rocks for all the other visitors to the boat ramp to enjoy.

So, I stand by my comment. People think that leaving the carcass of dolphin and spade fish and pigs and a doe and whatever is just fine.

Really??? “Virgina” Ave Landing…That explains everything!
