Virginia boat ramp advice

I am planning on launching at the Virginia boat ramp under I526 in the morning, any advice for fishing that area? My first trip launching and fishing in this area. Taking my daughter for the first time in 20 years. Would like to hook up with some reds and trout.

I thought that ramp was closed? Did it reopen? Lots of good fishing up that way.

Yes the ramp is open and not crowded. Enjoyed the creeks and saw a lot of other boats. Had some bites but didn’t land any. Others around did ok.

If it’s the ramp I’m thinking about, there is a bridge or tussle you have to go under with very low clearance. High tide in a bigger boat may be an issue.

This picture was at low tide, Came in 3 hours prior to high tide and there was 6 foot clearance.

Ah, the one at the park, not the one that was a private ramp. Now I get it.

That is some slick azz water. Never seen the sky rippled like that though lol.

The Cooper on the other side wasn’t as smooth, two foot waves is a little rough in my boat.
