Volunteers needed for missing boater

Hello all, havent posted much fishing related as of recently but as many of you know there was a boating accident about a week ago that involved a very close friend of mine. i have copied the email sent out from columbia fire captain Jack Veal. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately DNR has scaled back their search for Durham considerably and I am organizing a search this weekend because we cannot leave our brother in this water any longer! I will be taking Chief Reed out with me in my boat if Durham is not found before then. Anyone with a boat and wanting to help is greatly appreciated but if you have side scan and down scan this is awesome. I have also contacted American Bass Anglers and Lexington Fire for help with this search this weekend. Only one bass angler that said he would help Friday has contacted me so far. I know this is a holiday weekend but if you could give just two hours of your time it will be greatly valued. We will meet at Koon landing 1523 Shull Ave Gilbert SC 29054 at 0730 to 0745 I will be coming by water, Friday and Saturday if needed to start the search if you can help please call me 803-800-3413.
THANKS

I can’t remember who it was, but there was a missing boater in Greenwood for a couple of weeks(?). Supposedly, someone called in a pro fisherman with the latest technology and his gear helped found him in an afternoon. I asked a few guys around who I thought would know and they didn’t.

Sorry to hear about this tragedy.

Sorry about your friend DJ.

I can’t get off tomorrow, but I told him I’ll be there Saturday am. Hopefully it won’t be necessary.

Thanks Tim.

I reposted this to the Midlands Striper Club’s forum and FB page as well as several neighborhood FB pages …

Tim already beat me to the CFF MSC page …

I should be able to help out Saturday if needed
