i am thinking of getting vro pump removed, by passed or what ever. any thoughts? i have a 2000 ocean pro 200hp.

I removed the VRO tank from my '97 Evinrude 70 but left the one on my 115 Ocean Pro attached. I kept the factory gas/oil pump in place. All I did was cut and plug the oil line at the motor, removed the oil tank, oil line & wiring harness and unplugged the connector on the powerhead that signals “no oil”.
