Wade Bogs - YS

Hit the wando this a.m. in hopes of finding some tailers. Pulled up to the first flat at high tide to get out and wade and started seeing what I had hoped for…red backs and blue tails doing head stands! Put the youngen on my shoulders to cover ground in the sweet tea stained water and bogged down to my knees in the pluff spartina concoction that us locals call marsh grass. Put several precise cast 6 inches away from these fish but they could not see the D.O.A. Never spooked the first fish by casting such a light presentation just needed clearer water to increase the success rate. Headed up the cooper and the bottom dropped out. Went back to the upper wando and located at least 15 big redheaded heafty gals sitting in a ditch that were every bit on the small side of mid 30’s that again could not see the spinner baits due to such mud!!! I think the only clear water left as of now is at the Aquarium. May have to see if we can get a tournament scheduled there in the future. Youngen found 62 more sharks teeth in about 40 minutes at the end which was icing on the cake again despite the tough conditions!
