Wading boots

fellas - need a new pair of wading boots. What are you guys using and do you like / recommend them?

I had a pair of orvis boots that are heavy and the zippers finally rusted shut (even after a freshwater rinse everytime).

Mad Mike what do you guys have in the shop?

PS caught a tailer on one of your crab patterns yesterday afternoon. Thanks.

Simms flats boots…bring on the criticism but they are seven years old and still going strong.

Old School Chuck Taylors… Hands down the best wading shoe I have ever owned… No zipper to rust, new laces are cheap, they have a good tread to give you traction but not too aggressive to bulk up with mud… they dry quick and come in any color you want… Mine are black with red flames on the sides…

I like the Orvis zip ups. Yes they give out after many seasons, but I don’t like to wear shoes on the boat and the easy on/off with the zipper is a big selling point for me.

I have the Simms lace ups for tropical destinations when you need them to be tough and have ankle support. I don’t like them on the boat because of the lacing.

The Simms zip ups have a huge flaw, in my opinion. No velcro tab up top to keep the zipper from creeping down.
