Anyone catching any trout in these areas? I’ve been catching a few bass but since the hurricane, I’ve only caught 3 or 4 trout,I’ve been fishing 2 or 3 times a week on different tides. Thanks
funny…seems to be just the opposite for us. Before the hurricane we were catching reds on our favorite small creek off of the Toogoodoo. Since the hurricane, no reds, just small trout and some whiting!
Head left out of the Toogoodoo and try just past the channel marker on the left. There is a shell rake with a small creek almost running parallel with the grass line. Shrimp under a cork on outgoing tide will produce a bunch of reds with a few trout. Anchor off the point, cast over the grass point up current and let your bobber float out with the current. Have your bait 12-24" under the bobber depending on how low the water is at the time. Reds stack up in that hole pretty thick. Decent trout around the dead trees on Toogoodoo. If you fish that area you know where I’m talking about. Or try the dry dock by Wadamalaw Sound. ALWAYS catch keeper trout there every time.
Thanks for the info, hope to see yall in the water,I’m the old guy with long hair fishing in old Duracraft or Bulls Bay boat.
