Waffle and a Red

Sitting around Optiker’s house chowing down on an awesome waffle and recovering from a late night at the Hootie concert when Opti says we should fish. Who am I to argue! We fished hard, things were very slow and the tide was running a foot over predicted. After the tide started running out we started trolling some sapphire shines and throwing trout tricks. One trolling bait got hung up. I freed it and Opti says "reel the other one in and we’ll move back and reset. I grab the rod, gave it a little tug and the reel started screaming. After a few minutes of give and take, Opti puts him in the net.

Great day on the water. Windy, outgoing tide and water was a bit stained.

First chicken and waffles now reds and waffles? Remember, the special ingredient is love.

I watched from the “sidelines” as you guys reeled this one to the boat. Good report and nice fish! Didn’t have much luck on Sunday but a beautiful day on the water.

Mrs. HoofArded and I were at the Hootie concert Saturday night. Some guy pointed at me and said something about farting. Weird.

Nice fish. Way to hang tough!

Peapod, his rod and bait, his waffles, MY FISH! I was just following the Captains orders. Just doesn’t seem fair does it.

I just figgered that after the big trout beat down you put on him in the spring, he would’ve tried to hold your fish and get in the picture or something.

Go to your room, Peapod! I’m used to BOSN putting the beat-down on me. You don’t have to rub it in

honesty is the best policy…except for PeaPod, then you must resort to trickery and chicanery…

EDIT: really nice fish too…good report…
