Wahoo dolphin action, nice ride

Went out on a friend’s (Tom Thomas) boat out of Beaufort on Wednesday with Scot, Tennent, and Mills, this being Scott’s first trip. Left the dock at 5:15 and trolled out towards R8. Kinda slow until around 9:00, starboard reel starts screaming. Strapped Scot in to pop his offshore cherry and turns out to be a nice wahoo. Measured in at 41#s. Lines back in the water and slow for a couple hours, then found nice weedline in around 150’ and got into a nice group of dolphin. Thought we had a huge fish on at one point, fought it for about 25 minutes and turned out to be a 30# dolphin foul hooked through the tail. Nice meat either way. Ended the day with 6 gaffer dolphin and 1 nice hoo. Sea slicked out on the ride home, could have water skied the whole ride home. Thanks to Tom for a great day. Gonna try to post some pics if I can figure this thing out.

if you don’t have your photobucket password protected anyone can go in and take your pics,so hopefully there are not any pics in there you didn’t want the whole interweb to see,cause he now has them all…
