Definitely maybe.
This was taken at 2:22 am this morning. Looks like you’ll have to head out past 120’ of water, going towards the EB to get into “warm” water. The GS is just past the 226 and 380 Holes. 70 degrees should start out at about 100’ or so. The 72 degree water runs from the GT Hole, East of the SW Banks, curves West and then runs towards the EB.
Thanks very helpful
This appears to be Rutgers site but how did u get waypoints overlaid?
A little Photoshop. I used a color select tool to select the temperature “color” on the right scale and it highlighted the same colors on the map. Then, using approximations off the contour lines and temp colors with an overlay on Google Earth where I have the offshore points loaded, I put them on that graphic. I know, a bit nerdy, but hey it helps sometimes to guide me where I want to go somedays.
This can be done with Google Earth. Open GE and insert your waypoints. Then, go to the site below and open the “flcur.kmz” file with GE. If you move that file from “Temporary Places” to “My Places” you’ll have updated sea surface temperatures every time you open GE.
You can choose a 24hr, 3 day, and 7 day composite for the temps and no guessing about your waypoint locations.
Here’s the site:

Anybody know of a KMZ or KML file for the depth contours that can be used also?
