Went to G hole this AM to try to get in on the “bite”!
Was slower than expected…
Went 3 for 5 on Wahoo (largest 50+) about 3 miles north of G hole.
Caught a Bull and Cow together on a rip with temp break of 1.5 degree running W to E. They were both strong gaffers which I have not encountered in 2 years (gaffers that is). Let’s all hope this is the sign of a productive pelagic season to come. Reports from the Bahamas and Florida from friends of mine are encouraging as well!
all bites were between 190 and 230ft
water 72 - 74.5
planer rod caught 2 hoos.
black and orange lure was productive for both species.
(not one strike on black and red??!) my most productive Hoo color.
Fish On!
