Wahooin!

Left out at 4 and hit the stream after a beatin on the way there. Ton of bait everywhere you looked. Several times had groups of a couple hundred fliers at a time come up amd the bite showed it. Had the first fish on half hour in a 40 lb hoo, half hour after that a 80lb hoo hour after that a 25lb king followed up by a 10lb bft. Then to top it off had another 30lb hoo hit a tuna lure and once we got him in decided it was time to head to the house after 3 hours of fishing. Went 3 for 7 on hoos rest cut off. Back to the dock at 4:30 and couldn’t be happier. Got my old man on several first for him including the monster hoo. Thanks again Syd!

Wow, that 80 is a stud :sunglasses: The largest I ever caught was 72.

That would be correct .

Did you go Friday. I know the swell was long period, but there was still some serious swell in the water. Y’all are brave. How were the seas?

Did they hit on top or down on weights/downrigger? Nice work

Sweet hoo haul!!!

It was Sunday the 12th. Forecast 3-4, it was rough early. 15 knot wind from SSE for the first 20 or so miles.
Caught the two larger fish on high speeds, then slowed down and pulled some meat. Planer rod picked up a king and a cuda. Had a bunch of short strikes on the planer. Caught the smaller hoo on the shotgun lure, a little tuna jet with no Bally on it.
Brought the downrigger for the dredge, but never put it out.

Nicely done, Sir!
